If you’re anything like me, you love seeing new lists of sites to check out for creative inspiration. Creative Boom, the UK-based online magazine for the creative industries, compiled a great list of 50 websites and blogs for creative inspiration. You’re probably familiar with some of them but I imagine there are some fresh faces that you haven’t checked out before. Maybe next year CMYBacon will make the list!
When it comes to epic head to head matches, few are more epic than the ones from Star Wars. Old Red Jalopy created these neat vintage wrestling inspired posters as an homage to those epic battles between good and evil.
Type in Objects is a fun little project by Atlanta, Georgia-based designer Mark Weaver in which he explores objects that look like letters. Be sure to visit Mark’s website to see more of his work.
When most designers see “Ps” the first thing that comes to mind is Photoshop, but let’s not forget that it could easily stand for “Pepper and Salt” too! This delightful set of salt and pepper shakers by Frack Design is based on the Photoshop icon and is, in my opinion, brilliant.
Every Christmas I come across a line of holiday cards that I really wish I would have discovered before December 25. This year it was these cool cards by Norwegian design studio Darling Clementine. To all my friends and family…you might be getting these cards from me next year. Try to act surprised…
There’s a special place in my heart for cardboard art. Maybe it’s a result of playing in refrigerator boxes as a child. But whatever the reason, I’m really liking these neat cardboard creatures by Papertom. Check out Papertom’s Flickr page or Papertom.com to see more.
Yesterday I received a promo from photographer Scott Ferguson with this funny photo of Santa. Police Navidad!
Jim Darling created this cool series of oil paintings called Windows depicting aerial views of landscapes from airplane windows. It’s a really neat concept.
