Key Copying Topography

I’ve long been a fan of Brooklyn-based arist Daniel Bejar’s illustrations, but I just recently came across some of his fine art, which is equally impressive. For a project called The Visual Topography of a Generational Gap he made a copy of his apartment key and then made a copy of that. This process of making copies of copies was repeated until the original key’s information was lost, creating what he calls the “topography of a generation”.
