Pardon the shameless self-promotion, but CMYBacon has decided to leave the prehistoric days of 28.8K modems and flying toasters behind and is now on Facebook! Check it out…you just might “like” what you see.

Next stop…CMYBacon’s Facebook page.

Let me start out by saying that Radiolab is probably the greatest show on the FM dial (or the podcast dial for that matter…wait, do they even have dials…whatever, you know what I mean). One of their most recent episodes was all about symmetry, and they collaborated with New York-based filmmaking studio Everynone to create this stunning video about, you guessed it, symmetry. Watch the video; it’s really well done. And do yourself a favor and listen to Radiolab’s Desperately Seeking Symmetry episode while you’re at it.

Viktor Hertz has proven time and again that he’s a master of creatively using negative space in design. His Time For Wine poster is a gentle reminder that it’s always happy hour somewhere! Purchase this poster at Viktor’s online shop. And he has even more posters for sale at RedBubble. Check it out!

Easter has come and gone, but that doesn’t mean that egg decorating has to go out of style. Take a look Brett Bara’s great tutorial on embroidering eggs on Design Sponge. I know this is totally random, but for some reason this makes me think of Lennie from Of Mice and Men…embroidering eggs clearly takes a pretty gentle touch or else you’ll end up with a handful of shells and string.

This wooden mug designed by Oji Masanori makes me want to head into the forest to drink coffee and hang out with some bears.

Buy it at Mjölk.

I think I should buy this poster by Tisha Lea-Wilkins to justify the unkempt state of my desk at work to my coworkers.

Buy it for $20 on Etsy.

These Photoshop levels landscapes by Jasper Elings are really clever. I’m having another one of those “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments.
