There’s something about neon colors that just makes me…happy. The Hungry Workshop created these neon ‘Aim True’ letterpress sketchbooks and targets for Raleigh Paper to be given away at The Mohawk Show. I want one!
Now that we’re two days into June and there haven’t been any freak snow storms I think it’s safe to start talking about summer attire. David Schwen, the shockingly clever Minneapolis-based designer, made this Ugly Summer Sweater design for the Threadless Loves Summer challenge. The graphic is based on all those ugly Christmas sweaters that seem to populate Bill Cosby’s closet and have been the inspiration for holiday theme parties. So head on over to Threadless to vote for David’s design!
I’m not much of a calendar person…at least not physical calendars (the one on my iPhone works just fine, thank you very much). However, I would love to get one of these pocket-sized, letterpress matchbook calendars made by Inkhello. But here’s the bad news: The 2011 calendars are all sold out (I’m not surprised). If you want to be notified when the 2012 calendars are available you can sign up for Inkhello’s newsletter.
This incredible portrait by Frederick McSwain is made entirely out of standard, six-sided dice…13,138 dice to be exact. McSwain made it to honor his friend and fellow artist Tobias Wong (the subject of the portrait), who died at the age of 13,138 days (35 years-old).
