When I went home to Iowa for Christmas, I came across this set of antique wooden game pieces. I’m not sure what game they were for but I just thought that the little pieces, as a set, were really neat so I decided to share them here.
These pieces are also in my dad’s Monopoly set! I would say that they date form the 1940′s, he was born in 1936. I never knew that the game came with those little metal pieces until I played at a friends house! We always fought over the purple one.
LOVE your blog, I’m having fun going thru the older posts.

Yes, I agree. I, too, have those old pieces. My Monopoly game was manufactured between 1946-1951.
These little game pieces have magic for me… I’d like to design a game board for them and then play the game with someone small.
